Job summary

GL Global is seeking an experienced z/OS Systems Programmer to join a global financial services organization and play a key role in a major Mainframe modernization program. The role spans IBM Mainframe platforms, emphasizing reliability, performance, and innovation within a complex enterprise-scale environment.

You will install, configure, upgrade, and maintain z/OS system software and subsystems, lead upgrades and maintenance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust,

Qualifications

Extensive experience with IBM z/OS Mainframe environments.
Deep knowledge of JES, SMP/E and TSO/ISPF.
Solid JCL experience and mainframe scripting skills (REXX/CLIST).
Proven ability to install, configure, upgrade, and maintain mainframe software.
Experience with third-party mainframe tools for monitoring, storage, scheduling or performance.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain z/OS system software and subsystems.
Lead upgrades, patching, maintenance, and performance optimization.
Investigate and resolve complex Mainframe issues.
Contribute to platform migrations, integrations, and modernization projects.
Ensure security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
