Job summary

The z/OS Systems Programmer Senior - Network Systems at FIS leads the connectivity and print components across multiple z/OS environments. You will handle VTAM, TCP/IP, NJE, and related products, participate in disaster recovery planning, and provide 24x7 on-call support in a large, high-availability data-center environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience in a z/OS environment.
• Experience configuring and supporting mainframe connectivity.
• Ability to document, trace, and resolve z/OS connectivity issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Willingness to provide 24x7 on-call support.

Responsibilities

• Configure and support connectivity within the mainframe environment and external networks.
• Provide 2nd/3rd level support for production issues.
• Gather documentation and analyze traces, dumps, and logs for problem resolution.
• Maintain and customize network and print solutions with vendor products.
• Coordinate with users, clients and partners and communicate complex information clearly.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Work with multiple z/OS environments in stand-alone and parallel sysplex configurations.
