Job description

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Network System Programmer to maintain, support, and optimize mainframe network environments. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in z/OS networking, parallel sysplex environments, and network security, with strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Required Technical / Functional Skills

• Strong experience in maintaining and supporting Mainframe Network Systems
• Expertise in installation, configuration, and fine-tuning of network components in mainframe environments
• Proven experience in debugging, root cause analysis, and performance tuning
• Hands-on experience with network configuration on the system side.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Support and administer network components within parallel sysplex mainframe environments
• Work extensively with TSO/ISPF utilities for system-level tasks
• Configure and manage z/OS Communication Server components, including SNA and TCP/IP, across multiple LPAR environments
• Manage and support VTAM configuration and troubleshooting
• Implement and maintain security configurations, including:
  • Policy Agent
  • Network encryption
  • Security compliance and best practices
• Perform system monitoring, performance analysis, and capacity planning
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex network and connectivity issues
