Job summary

Truist Financial Corporation is seeking a senior z/OS System Programmer to lead zOS release installs, maintenance, and OEM tasks. You will diagnose issues, perform debugging, and coordinate with vendors as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in infrastructure engineering.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure technologies including cloud, network, database, storage, platform, computing, and middleware.

Responsibilities

• Designs, builds, and implements enterprise infrastructure platforms across cloud, network, database, storage, platform, computing, or middleware domains.
• Applies automation, monitoring, and optimization for high availability and performance.
• Manages infrastructure engineering projects in line with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and improve standards.
• Troubleshoots and resolves complex infrastructure issues impacting performance and reliability.
• Supports compliance with technology strategies, standards, and governance.
• Reviews and guides infrastructure designs, configurations, and procedures for operational consistency and knowledge sharing.
• Provides technical guidance to junior professionals.
• Develops technical solutions with deep analysis of infrastructure systems.
