Truist Financial Corporation is seeking a Lead z/OS Systems Programmer to act as the technical leader for the z/OS team. This hands-on role directs complex engineering work, oversees upgrades, incident resolution, and adherence to standards to ensure availability and security of the mainframe platform.

The role requires mentoring engineers at all levels and representing z/OS Engineering in cross-team discussions with a focus on resilience, automation, and governance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS, Eng, IS or related field.
Minimum 7 years professional infrastructure engineering experience.
Advanced knowledge of enterprise infra technologies including cloud, network, database, storage, platform, computing, and middleware.

Responsibilities

Lead design, build and manage enterprise infrastructure platforms.
Drive automation, monitoring, and optimization for high availability.
Manage large infrastructure projects aligned with regulatory requirements.
Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance to teams.
Ensure compliance with technology standards and governance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and partners to adopt new tech.
