Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is seeking a Senior Youth Worker to provide essential support to youth ages birth to 24 experiencing homelessness. Responsibilities include offering encouragement, maintaining a safe environment, and responding to crises.

This role is crucial in helping youth identify needs and take steps toward stability. Candidates should have experience or a willingness to learn about youth developmental needs, trauma-informed care, and crisis intervention. Both full-time and part-time positions are available with a hiring bonus.

Qualifications

• Some experience working with youth preferred but not required.
• Experience with homeless or at-risk youth is a plus.
• Effective working knowledge of positive youth development and harm reduction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and basic needs to youth experiencing homelessness.
• Develop positive relationships with youth to help them with immediate needs.
• Respond to crisis and emergent needs of youth seeking shelter.
