Lutheran Social Service MN is seeking an On-Call Senior Youth Worker to support youth ages 16–24 in a 24/7 shelter setting in Saint Paul, MN. The role includes intake, creating daily plans, and providing basic needs with a focus on safety and trauma-informed care.

The position is part-time with an emphasis on overnights and weekends, offering a $500 hiring bonus. Applicants must meet background, age and driving checks and align with ALIVE Workplace values.

Formación

• Effective working knowledge of positive youth development, harm reduction and trauma-informed care preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must pass a DHS level background check and a driver’s eligibility check.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field plus 1 year experience with youth.

Responsabilidades

• Provide welcome, support and basic needs for youth experiencing homelessness aged 16–24 or youth birth-17 in 24/7 shelter.
• Conduct intake, assist with daily plans and support youth at departure.
• Maintain a consistent, safe, and supportive milieu during shifts, including crisis response.
• Build positive relationships to identify immediate needs and next steps toward stability.
