Job summary

Think Together seeks an Older Youth Leader to work with an assigned class of 20-25 students. The role focuses on mentorship, homework help, and physical activity within a safe, nurturing environment.

The position requires 48 college units or a Bachelor's Degree, fluent English in a school setting, and bi-literate Spanish preferred. Experience with groups of 10+ students and strong communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Bi-literate in Spanish preferred to support English-learner population.
• Minimum age 22.
• At least six months of experience with groups of 10+ students in classroom/afterschool/recreation.
• Advanced Math and English skills (6-12 grade).

Responsibilities

• Serve as a positive adult role model for older youth in the program.
• Provide homework assistance, academic enrichment and physical activity using provided curriculum.
• Create an engaging environment fostering belonging for older youth.
• Support youth in positive behavior and apply disciplinary measures when needed.
• Engage youth by following and assisting in lesson plans.
