Job summary

Think Together is seeking an Older Youth Leader to work with an assigned class of 20-25 students in a part-time capacity. The role focuses on serving as a positive adult role model, providing homework help, academic enrichment, and physical activity using our curriculum and materials.

The candidate should have 48 college units or a Bachelor's Degree, strong English communication, and bi-literate Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires 48 college semester units or 60 college quarter units or a Bachelor's Degree.
• Must speak and write Standard English appropriate in a school setting.
• Minimum age of 22.
• At least six months experience working with a group of 10+ students in a classroom, afterschool, or recreation environment.
• Bi-literate in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a positive adult role model for older youth in the program.
• Provide homework assistance, academic enrichment and physical activity using provided curriculum.
• Create an engaging environment that fosters a sense of belonging for older youth.
• Support older youth in making positive behavior choices and administer disciplinary measures when appropriate.
• Engage older youth by following, implementing, and assisting in creating lesson plans.
