Job summary

Think Together is seeking an Older Youth Leader to work with an assigned class of 20–25 students as a positive adult role model. The role involves mentoring, homework help, and hands-on activities to promote safety and learning in a supportive environment.

The position requires at least 22 years old, 48 college units or a bachelor’s degree, and strong English communication. This part-time role emphasizes consistent attendance and adherence to program guidelines, with a focus on nurturing youth

Qualifications

• 48 college semester or 60 college quarter units OR a Bachelor’s Degree are required.
• Ability to speak and write Standard English in a public school setting.
• Minimum age of 22.
• Experience working with a group of 10+ students in a classroom, afterschool, or recreation environment.
• Bi-literate in English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of approximately 20-25 students in an instructional setting while maintaining behavior and safety.
• Provide homework assistance, academic enrichment, and physical activity using provided curriculum.
• Create an engaging environment fostering a sense of belonging for older youth.
• Support youth in making positive behavior choices and apply appropriate discipline.
• Engage youth by following and assisting in lesson plans.
