Job summary

Think Together in California is seeking an Older Youth Leader for a part-time role. You will work with an assigned class of approximately 20-25 students, serving as a positive adult mentor, role model, and coach to support growth, safety, and engagement. You will apply the program's four core agreements—Be responsible, Be respectful, Be safe, Have fun.

The pay rate is $21/hour. Requirements include 48 college units or a Bachelor’s degree, strong English communication, and bi-literate Spanish

Qualifications

• Must speak and write Standard English.
• Minimum age 22.
• At least six months experience with 10+ students in classroom/afterschool.
• Bi-literate in English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of 20–25 students in an instructional setting.
• Implement Think Together core agreements: Be responsible, Be respectful, Be safe, Have fun.
• Provide homework help, academic enrichment and physical activity.
• Create an engaging environment that fosters belonging.
• Support positive behavior and disciplinary actions when needed.
• Follow lesson plans and deliver active, collaborative, meaningful, and mastery-based instruction.
• Ensure safety and site maintenance.
