Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a talented Sr. Application Engineer with deep expertise in X86 server and networking solutions, especially switch products. You will provide technical support to enterprise customers and promote internal switch offerings to optimize networking solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong hardware validation background, hands-on testing experience, and excellent communication skills to interface with customers and management at all levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Minimum of 8+ years of working experience in hardware validation environment.
• Strong knowledge of computer architecture.
• Familiar with Linux, Windows, and networking.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork.
• Experience with server performance benchmarks and tuning is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform motherboard, system, and other server component validation testing
• Conduct functionality testing, compatibility testing, performance testing, stress and reliability testing
• Report hardware and software quality issues into bug tracking systems
• Document and analyze test data
• Maintain and improve validation test plans and test instructions
• Contribute in the development of test utilities and test script automation
• Support internal and external quality issues and drive to issue resolution
