Job summary

Supermicro is looking for a Sr. Application Engineer with deep expertise in X86 server and networking solutions, especially switch products. You will provide technical support to our enterprise customers and promote internal switch products to optimize networking solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
Minimum of 8+ years working experience in hardware validation environment.
Strong knowledge of computer architecture.
Familiar with Linux, Windows, and networking.
Strong communication skills and teamwork.
Knowledge and experience of server performance benchmarks is a plus.

Responsibilities

Validate motherboard, system, and other server component validation testing.
Conduct functionality testing, compatibility testing, performance testing, stress and reliability testing.
Report hardware and software quality issues into bug tracking systems.
Document and analyze test data.
Maintain and improve validation test plans and test instructions.
Contribute in the development of test utilities and test script automation.
Support internal and external quality issues and drive to issue resolution.
