Job summary

CareQuest Institute for Oral Health, Inc. is seeking an experienced marketing and communications writer to lead the development of strategic content across PR, policy, and advocacy.

You will translate complex priorities into clear narratives for media, policymakers, and the public, ensuring consistency and on-brand messaging. You will work with leadership and program teams to produce press releases, op-eds, policy briefs, blogs, and web copy, while coordinating with external partners to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field.
• Demonstrated background in public policy writing.
• 5+ years of related experience delivering content across platforms and formats.
• Exceptional communicator and strategic thinker with ability to translate complex concepts.
• Data-driven and able to translate data into meaningful insights to influence content.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of public relations and policy content (press releases, op-eds, policy briefs, articles, statements, talking points, blogs, executive communications).
• Translate complex policy, research, and advocacy topics into clear narratives for media, providers, policymakers, partners, and the public.
• Serve as in-house resource for PR, policy, and other writing, ensuring high quality, timely, on-brand deliverables.
• Collaborate with teams to shape messaging, respond to issues, and position the organization externally.
• Support broader marketing/comms efforts with writing for campaigns, web content, newsletters, and channels.
