Job description

The Senior Workforce Trainer is an instructor for Accelerated Training Solutions for an advanced or elevated industry cluster. This role is responsible for leading workforce training programs, mentoring other trainers, and supporting curriculum development across industries. The role may include direct employer engagement to design and deliver customized training solutions aligned with industry needs.

Salary: anticipated to be in the range of $70k annually plus full state benefits. Eligible for TSTC Total Rewards.

Essential Functions
  • Demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service, and Integrity with stakeholders.
  • Serve as trainer for advanced training programs across technical, manufacturing, healthcare, and other high-demand sectors.
  • Serve as subject matter expert, develop and deliver customized instruction, collaborate with employers, partners, and agencies.
  • Develop curriculum for various educational projects, including continuing education, apprenticeships, contract and industrial training, special projects.
  • Coordinate training schedules, instructional materials, and assignments with staff.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting, ensure compliance with credentialing, licensure, safety standards.
  • Mentor adjunct instructors, share best practices.
  • Remain responsive to industry trends and emerging technologies.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree or higher in Industrial Systems, Mechatronics, Electrical Troubleshooting, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, or automation.
  • Expertise in relevant technical or occupational skill areas.
  • Strong understanding of higher education and workforce development landscape.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial equipment, troubleshooting, and safety practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in curriculum development, employer engagement, or leading training teams.
  • Educational requirements based on training needs.
  • 3-5 years of related experience in subject area.
  • Experience in non-credit course/curriculum development.

Work Environment & Additional Information

Work Location: On-campus position requiring physical presence at assigned campus location.

Travel Requirements: Occasional travel to office locations and events.

Physical Requirements: Lift up to 50 pounds, frequent climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, exposure to weather, noise, hazards, safe driving techniques.

Time Type: Full-time, 40-hour week.

FLSA Classification: Salaried, exempt.
