Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is recruiting an Associate Managing Attorney in California. You will lead a team of lawyers, guiding high‑quality, proactive case handling for Travelers' insured clients and providing strategic leadership to the office.

You will recruit, retain and develop staff, manage performance, and ensure exceptional client service while maintaining strict professional and ethical standards across the practice group.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate or equivalent law degree.
• Active license to practice law in the required states.
• 7+ years of experience as a practicing attorney.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the office within the line of business or satellite office, including acting as backup for Managing Counsel.
• Provide outstanding advocacy and achieve excellent results on own cases and those assigned to Counsel.
• Develop and implement strategies for office development and staff performance.
• Maintain compliance with reporting requirements, quality standards and ethics initiatives.
