The Jonus Group in Overland Park, KS is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster to manage a caseload across IA, KS, MN, MO, ND, NE, SD, WI and WY, focusing on litigated files and indemnity benefits.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of handling workers' compensation/indemnity claims, strong knowledge of laws and medical terms, and excellent communication and negotiation skills. The role offers a competitive salary of $75,000-$95,000 plus a 4% annual bonus and full benefits.

• 5+ years of experience handling Workers Compensation/Indemnity Claims for IA, KS, MN, MO, ND, NE, SD, WI and WY.
• Must have experience handling litigated files.
• Strong knowledge of workers' compensation laws, regulations, and medical terminology.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of workers' compensation claims, including reviewing new claims, gathering information, and determining compensability.
• Conduct thorough investigations into the circumstances of workplace injuries, including obtaining medical records and witness statements.
• Calculate and authorize indemnity benefits, including temporary total disability, permanent partial disability, and vocational rehabilitation benefits.
• Ensure compliance with state workers' compensation laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Maintain accurate and detailed claim files, documenting all relevant information, communications, and decisions.
