Job summary

Integrated Specialty Coverages, LLC in Florida seeks a seasoned Workers’ Compensation Underwriter. You will review applications, determine coverage and pricing based on risk, and ensure profitable distribution of risks.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of related experience required.
5-10 years of Workers Compensation underwriting or related insurance experience.
Experience underwriting risk for construction, hospitality, real estate, manufacturing.
CPCU, CIC, CRIS, licenses a plus.

Responsibilities

Adhere to underwriting guidelines and pricing strategies to maintain profitability.
Approve or decline insurance applications within limits and prepare referrals.
Review risk characteristics on applications, renewals, and change requests.
Ensure compliance with industry and government regulations.
Document underwriting files with risk analysis and pricing justification.
Collaborate with producers to achieve production goals.
Utilize data sources and software to verify data for submissions.
Provide guidance to clients to reduce exposure to risk.
Assist in developing the underwriting team through mentoring.
