Cleveland Law Firm is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Paralegal to support its attorneys. The role involves independently managing claims, filings, and deadlines under Ohio workers’ compensation procedures.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years paralegal experience in a law firm or legal setting.
• Knowledge of Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and Industrial Commission of Ohio procedures.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent writing, proofreading, analytical, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
• Sound judgment and a proactive approach to attorney support.

Responsibilities

• Prepare workers’ compensation claims for administrative hearings.
• Draft pleadings, claim summaries, and other legal documents.
• Request, organize, and review medical records.
• Coordinate independent medical examinations and summarize results.
• Monitor case activity, filing requirements, and deadlines.
• Submit documents electronically to courts and agencies.
• Proofread filings for accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials.
• Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients, medical providers, and outside parties.
• Identify potential issues and escalate as needed.
