Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP in Cleveland is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Paralegal with 3+ years of experience to support the Cleveland office. The role involves drafting, filing, and discovery tasks, with a focus on handling claims efficiently for IMEs and hearings.

The candidate will assist attorneys, manage multiple matters, and ensure compliance with Ohio BWC and Industrial Commission rules, while contributing to a strong client service approach in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ paralegal experience in a law firm or other legal setting.
• Strong working knowledge in the application of Microsoft Office programs.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and the Industrial Commission of Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Draft claim summary correspondence for IMEs.
• Files documents with the courts electronically.
• Prepare claims for administrative hearings.
• Assist in deposition, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation.
• Request and review medical records.
• Assists in deposition, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation.
• Drafts documents and filings.
• Familiarity with rules and procedures of the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation as well as the Industrial Commission of Ohio.
