Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active Florida Bar license in good standing.
• Minimum 7 years defending workers’ compensation claims with first-chair experience.
• Deep knowledge of Florida workers’ compensation law and defense strategy.
• Strong written and oral advocacy, negotiation, and courtroom presentation.
• Ability to travel up to 20% domestically.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of moderately complex workers’ compensation defense matters in Florida.
• Lead trial strategy, litigation outcomes, and client service.
• Handle all phases of petitions for benefits and associated hearings.
• Analyze issues, conduct research, and develop defense strategies.
• Prepare and present witnesses at hearings and mediations.
• Coordinate with Claims on strategy and settlement objectives.
• Communicate with Clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel in line with office procedures.
