Job summary

The Jonus Group is seeking a dedicated Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster to join its team in Kansas, Overland Park. You will manage a caseload of Indemnity claims, review new claims, gather information, and determine compensability in line with state law.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of experience with IA, KS, MN, MO, ND, NE, SD, WI, WY, and litigated files, with strong communication and negotiation skills. Competitive compensation includes full medical benefits and a 4% annual bonus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience handling Workers' Compensation/Indemnity Claims for IA, KS, MN, MO, ND, NE, SD, WI and WY.
• Experience handling litigated files.
• Strong knowledge of workers' compensation laws, regulations, and medical terminology.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of workers' compensation claims, including reviewing new claims, gathering information, and determining compensability.
• Conduct thorough investigations into the circumstances of workplace injuries, including obtaining medical records and witness statements.
• Calculate and authorize indemnity benefits, including temporary total disability, permanent partial disability, and vocational rehabilitation benefits.
• Ensure compliance with state workers' compensation laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Maintain accurate and detailed claim files, documenting all relevant information, communications, and decisions.
