Crawford & Company is seeking a Senior Claims Examiner - Workers Compensation (Alabama) to join our claims management team. You will handle advanced, large-loss WC claims with autonomy and work closely with defense counsel.

The ideal candidate has Alabama licensing, 4–8 years' experience, and strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. The role offers growth, mentoring opportunities, and exposure to complex cases within a global organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 4–8 years of claims or similar experience.
• WC Adjuster License required per jurisdiction.
• Strong written and oral communication, negotiation and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve complex workers' compensation claims with final authority.
• Analyze compensability and liability, manage reserves, and negotiate settlements.
• Collaborate with defense counsel on litigated matters and mentor junior staff.
• Direct investigative activity and determine coverage on complex claims.
• Prepare reports for clients, carriers, and management.
• Develop subrogation and third-party recovery opportunities.
