King's Insurance Staffing client seeks an experienced Workers’ Compensation Claims Specialist to manage 85-100 moderate to complex Alabama claims from assignment through resolution. Strong knowledge of Alabama law and an active Alabama Adjuster’s License are required.

The role emphasizes trimming backlogs, coordinating medical treatment, monitoring return-to-work opportunities, and negotiating settlements with injured workers and attorneys.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Workers’ Compensation Lost Time claims handling experience.
• Strong knowledge of Alabama Workers’ Compensation law.
• Experience handling litigated Workers’ Compensation claims.
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of 85-100 moderate to complex Alabama Workers’ Compensation claims with minimal supervision.
• Coordinate and monitor medical treatment, ensuring injured workers remain compliant with scheduled appointments and evaluating return-to-work opportunities.
• Negotiate claim settlements with injured workers and attorneys, as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate claim files, establish and adjust reserves, and ensure timely documentation throughout the life of the claim.
• Oversee litigated claims and collaborate with defense counsel throughout the litigation process.
• Present serious or complex claims to committee when necessary and participate in ongoing training initiatives.
• Deliver a high level of customer service while consistently adhering to departmental best practices.

This position will be responsible for managing moderate to complex Alabama Workers’ Compensation claims from initial assignment through resolution. Qualified candidates must have strong knowledge of Alabama Workers’ Compensation law and hold an active Alabama Adjuster’s License.

Salary/Benefits:
