Job summary

Acrisure is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Claims Examiner to support Alabama jurisdiction. This fully remote role manages lost-time workers’ compensation claims from assignment through resolution, including investigation, liability analysis, reserves, and settlement negotiations.

Experience with Alabama claims and litigation exposure is preferred; strong communication, organization, and independence are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree beneficial.
• Adjuster licensing beneficial or ability to obtain licensing as required.
• Experience with Alabama workers’ compensation claims preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and sound decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Manage a desk and caseload of workers’ compensation claims in Alabama remotely.
• Investigate claims thoroughly, including coverage and liability analysis.
• Evaluate claim exposure and maintain reserves timely.
• Coordinate with defense counsel and monitor litigation activity.
• Negotiate settlements and monitor medical treatment progression.
• Maintain documentation and ensure accurate claim payments.
