CCMSI in Louisville, KY seeks a Workers’ Compensation Claim Consultant to manage full life-cycle claim investigation and adjustment for a dedicated Kentucky account.

This role requires 3+ years of WC claim handling, experience in Kentucky jurisdiction, and strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Hybrid or remote options available, with a focus on accuracy, timely resolutions, and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of workers’ compensation claim handling experience.
• Experience managing claims in Kentucky workers’ compensation jurisdiction.
• Exposure to litigated workers’ compensation claims.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and negotiation capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Reliable, predictable attendance during assigned client service hours.

Responsabilités

• Investigate, evaluate and adjust claims in accordance with established claim handling standards and laws.
• Establish reserves and/or provide reserve recommendations within established reserve authority levels.
• Review, approve or provide oversight of medical, legal, damage estimates and miscellaneous invoices to determine if reasonable and related to designated claims.
• Negotiate any disputed bills or invoices for resolution.
• Authorize and make payments of claims in accordance with claim procedures utilizing a claim payment program.
• Negotiate settlements in accordance with Corporate Claim Standards and state laws.
• Assist in the selection, referral and supervision of designated claim files sent to outside vendors.
• Assess and monitor subrogation claims for resolution.
• Provide notices of qualifying claims to excess/reinsurance carriers.
• Attend hearings, mediations, and conferences as appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with Corporate Claim Handling Standards and client instructions.
