Job summary

CCMSI is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster to manage a portfolio of workers' compensation claims in Alabama and/or Mississippi. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of adjusting experience, hold an active adjuster license, and be capable of independently managing complex claims through the full lifecycle in a TPA environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of workers' compensation claims adjusting experience.
• Active adjuster license required.
• Demonstrated workers' compensation claims handling experience in Alabama and/or Mississippi.
• Ability to independently manage claims through the full claim lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of workers' compensation regulations, benefit administration, and claims best practices.
• Excellent written, verbal, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate and adjust claims following established standards and laws.
• Establish reserves and/or provide reserve recommendations within authority levels.
• Review, approve or oversee medical, legal, and damage invoices; negotiate disputed bills.
• Authorize and process payments per procedures and authority.
• Negotiate settlements in accordance with standards and laws.
• Assist in selecting and supervising outside vendors for designated files.
