You will adjudicate highly complex indemnity workers' compensation claims in SC and VA, negotiate settlements, set reserves, and manage litigation while reporting trends to leadership. A Bachelor's degree and SC license are required, with five years' experience in the specified jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' experience adjudicating workers' compensation claims in SC and VA.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required; two or more insurance designations or four additional years of related experience may substitute for a degree.
• SC license required at start of assignment.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate highly complex indemnity workers' compensation claims with potential significant impact on department results.
• Investigate claims promptly and thoroughly; interview involved parties and gather records.
• Prepare reports for file documentation and communicate trends to senior management and underwriters.
• Negotiate settlements and manage claims in litigation; set reserves and coordinate expertise resources.
• Generate timely and accurate timesheets and comply with overtime expectations.
