Job Summary

Responsible for leading projects while integrating knowledge of business and functional priorities for the functional systems and technology platform (i.e., Human Resources, Finance, Legal, etc.). Ensures the planning and execution of all activities for the platform are aligned with the budget and business commitments. Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) for business partners and team members, providing technical expertise within the organization. Works independently or as part of a team on complex projects and mentors junior team members. May lead a team but does not directly manage people.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  1. Serve as the primary technical contact for the functional systems and technology platform.
  2. Act as a subject matter expert to address questions about platform changes, capabilities, policies, and procedures.
  3. Review technical solutions to ensure they meet business requirements, designs, and plans, and facilitate understanding and agreement on deliverables.
  4. Maintain platform integrity by assessing the impacts of upgrades on data and functionality.
  5. Manage relationships with stakeholders to gather product and technical requirements.
  6. Conduct needs analysis for integration requirements.
  7. Manage training initiatives for new applications or features.
  8. Evaluate vendor updates and recommend new features.
  9. Coordinate with quality assurance to ensure thorough testing.
  10. Provide user experience feedback.
  11. Contribute to departmental budgets and planning.
  12. Ensure platform stability and readiness during deployments.
  13. Support troubleshooting activities to ensure high availability.
  14. Represent the department in cross-functional change implementations.
  15. Provide technical education and review training materials.
  16. Uphold leadership and company standards, embodying the company's vision in technology.
  17. Exercise independent judgment on significant matters.
  18. Maintain punctuality and flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed.
  19. Perform other duties as assigned.
