Job summary

Indeed is hiring a Workday HCM Solutions Architect in the United States. The role focuses on designing end-to-end Workday HCM solutions, driving scalable, secure architectures, and delivering measurable business value across HR, IT, and Engineering.

The ideal candidate brings deep Workday domain expertise, strong architectural judgment, and a track record of mentoring cross-functional teams to implement complex enterprise-scale solutions.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree, and a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience; or a PhD with 3 years experience
• Experience designing and implementing Workday HCM solutions
• Deep expertise across multiple Workday HCM domains with a proven track record delivering complex, enterprise-scale solutions
• Excellent understanding of Workday security frameworks
• Advanced experience with Workday reporting, analytics, data strategy, and automation design, including Workday Orchestrations and Business Process Framework
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, sustainable architectures, with sound systems thinking and trade-off decisions
• Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams, communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences, and mentor others

Responsibilities

• Partner with delivery leads to design end-to-end solutions for complex Workday HCM initiatives across multiple products, with a platform-first mindset
• Establish and enforce architectural patterns that prioritize simplicity, scalability, and extensibility
• Drive automation and end-user experience strategy by identifying opportunities to eliminate manual processes using Workday AI, Orchestrations, and the business process framework
• Define and scale best practices for reusable automation and workflow design across functional areas
• Partner with reporting and analytics leads to architect robust reporting solutions that enable actionable insights
• Evaluate and guide decisions on leveraging native Workday capabilities versus external tools
• Collaborate with Product, HR, IT, and Engineering to align priorities and mentor team members on design practices
