Job summary

HNTB in Raleigh, NC seeks a Work Zone Traffic Control (WZTC) Engineer III to develop Transportation Management Plans during construction and contribute to design-phase TMPs. You will apply advanced work zone knowledge to address traffic control, operations, and public information needs, collaborating with project managers, designers, and field personnel to ensure safe and efficient construction.

You will lead complex tasks, guide junior staff, and perform quality control on discipline

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience, or
• Master's degree in Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience, or
• PhD in Engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Develop TMPs addressing traffic control, operations, and public information.
• Ensure TMPs are incorporated into construction staging and field practices.
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced staff and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Perform quality control reviews of discipline-specific deliverables.
• Assist with schedule planning and workload distribution within discipline.
