Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) seeks a Senior Work Control Planner for our SWPF at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC. You will develop work packages for equipment and system modifications, guiding non-union staff through detailed, safety-focused procedures.

Responsibilities include reviewing engineering documents, estimating labor and material needs, creating AHA inputs, and writing lockout/tagouts. DOE orders compliance and cross-team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, Associate's, or High School Diploma/GED and practical work experience in work control, E&I/mechanical maintenance, plant operations or related areas

Responsibilities

• Prepares, reviews and issues large and/or complex equipment and/or system modification work packages requiring integration and cross-teaming with SMEs and DOE orders.
• Interprets engineering drawings, schematics and vendor prints to develop modifications for electrical/mechanical systems.
• Analyzes time/material requirements and prepares material takeoffs, labor estimates and Davis Bacon screening.
• Evaluates work scope for corrective maintenance to ensure clear definition and parameters.
• Develops step-by-step work activity instructions and identifies hazards for AHA input.
• Writes lockout/tagouts for various work packages and coordinates review/approval routing per procedures.
• Performs permit development, testing requirements, records management and training related to work control.
