Job summary

Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) seeks a Senior Work Control Planner to base in Aiken, SC on the Savannah River Site. You will develop and issue work packages for complex equipment and systems, coordinating with E&I, mechanical maintenance, and operations teams to ensure safe, compliant modifications.

You will identify hazards, prepare AHA inputs, and route packages for approvals, while writing detailed step-by-step instructions and lockout/tagout procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, Associate's, or High School Diploma/GED and practical work experience in work control, E&I/mechanical maintenance, plant operations or related areas
• Experience developing and reviewing work packages for complex equipment or systems
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and vendor documents to guide modifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and issue large/complex work packages requiring integration and cross-teaming
• Identify hazards and route work packages for approvals and AHA review
• Develop step-by-step work instructions and isolation/de-energization procedures
• Estimate time/materials and prepare materials takeoffs and labor estimates
• Develop and submit AHA and work package routing for approval
• Perform administrative tasks: permits, documentation, records management, and training
• Develop lockout/tagout procedures for various work packages
• Support periodic and scheduled maintenance by creating maintenance packages
• Collaborate with SMEs and vendors to ensure safety and compliance
