Job summary

Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is seeking a Defense Waste Processing Facility Shift Maintenance First Line Manager (FLM) based in Aiken, SC. You will directly supervise mechanics and ensure work aligns with Work Control, Safety, Quality, and Conduct of Operations.

The role supports the DWPF shift maintenance program, mentoring technicians, reviewing work packages, and coordinating with schedulers to keep outages and activities on track.

Qualifications

• Supervises mechanics and ensures work adheres to Work Control, Safety, Quality, and Conduct of Operations.
• Requires 3+ years nuclear experience.
• Education and experience deviations must follow DOE 426.2 protocols.
• Experience in mechanical or E&I maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates and supervises the activities of mechanics that maintain, repair, install and test systems and equipment.
• Ensures adherence to safety, quality, and work control procedures.
• Reviews and approves work packages and lockouts for maintenance activities.
• Interfaces with scheduling to develop accurate work schedules.
• Provides relief when other supervisors are absent and supports preventive maintenance programs.
• Communicates with other support organizations to start and complete activities as scheduled.
• Performs initial investigations of abnormal events and site rounds to observe activities.
• Identifies deficiencies and notifies responsible personnel for corrective action.
