Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants, through Longenecker & Associates, seeks a Work Control Planner IV to support Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, NM. You will develop and review work packages, estimates, and procedures for complex facilities, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, 12+ years of relevant experience, expert understanding of lock-out/tag-out, and ability to interpret drawings. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field required.
• 12+ years of relevant field experience or equivalent.
• Experience with work control, materials management, and mechanical maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of lock-out/tag-out policies and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Ability to use a computerized work management system for planning.
• Experience solving complex work-control problems and presenting findings.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DOE Q clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and/or review work packages with time, material, and labor estimates.
• Prepare step-by-step work instructions, procedures, and safety/test requirements.
• Lead electrical safety responsibilities and LANL Electrical Safety Program.
• Analyze time and material requirements for complex activities.
• Prepare materials and labor specifications for complex tasks.
• Lead development of detailed work instructions for unique activities.
• Manage and expedite priorities of work packages.
• Coordinate permit development, testing requirements, and records management.
• Ensure compliance with lab policies/regulations and quality standards.
• Foster an inclusive, safe work environment.
