Job summary

Navarro Research and Engineering in Los Alamos, NM is seeking a seasoned Work Control Planner 4 to develop and review work packages for complex facilities and activities across the laboratory environment.

The role emphasizes safety, detailed work instructions, and regulatory compliance, with extensive experience in materials management and planning for mechanical, electrical and radiological systems. A Bachelor's degree is required with substantial related experience in work control planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with additional years of related experience.
• 12+ years of experience in work control, planning or related fields preferred.
• Strong knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements for complex facilities.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints and schematics.
• Experience leading development of detailed work packages and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develops and reviews work packages with time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Creates step-by-step work instructions and safety/testing requirements.
• Analyzes time and material needs for complex activities.
• Prepares specifications for materials and labor estimates.
• Leads development of detailed, safe work procedures.
• Manages priority and progress of work packages to closure.
