Gorman Woodlands is seeking an experienced Woodlands General Manager to oversee its South Zone forestry operations. Based in West Kelowna or Princeton with regular time at both offices, you will lead a team across Nicola, Similkameen, and Okanagan regions and report to the COO.

The role involves collaboration with Indigenous communities and other stakeholders to advance sustainable forest management, overseeing an AAC of wood and coordinating with multiple licenses and tenures.

Formación

• RPF in good standing with FPBC.
• ≥15 years forestry experience with leadership of complex programs.
• Proven ability to navigate multi‑stakeholder environments.
• Strong commitment to safety and responsible forest stewardship.
• Ability to lead a high‑performing team while managing multiple priorities.

Responsabilidades

• Model strong leadership and accountability while reinforcing a culture of safety, professionalism, integrity, and responsible forest stewardship.
• Lead and support a team of 27 employees in delivering the AAC and managing obligations across TFL59, A18698, A74911, A18671, and other tenures.
• Develop budgets and forecasts, monitor financial/operational performance, and support a predictable wood flow to manufacturing facilities.
• Collaborate with Woodlands North to share expertise and improve practices.
• Build relationships with First Nations, municipal and provincial governments, and other tenure holders.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Woodlands team, setting clear expectations and supporting performance and succession planning.
