Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Senior Wireless TAC Engineer to join our team onsite in California. You will be the subject matter expert for Enterprise wireless and wired networks, triaging customer issues and driving resolutions.

With 7+ years of experience and in-depth knowledge of Layer 2/3 networking and 802.11 Wi-Fi standards, you will collaborate with developers and support teams to deliver reliable network experiences.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking.
• In-depth knowledge of 802.11 Wi-Fi standards.
• BA/BS/MS in EECS or related field; relevant certifications preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in networking roles.

Responsibilities

• Triage and Resolve Customer Support Escalations from multiple inbound channels.
• Meet or exceed customer expectations on response quality, timeliness of responses, and overall customer experience.
• Build and maintain layer 2/3 network testbeds.
• Understand features and reproduce customer issues.
• File tickets on bugs found.
• Analyze logs and pinpoint root causes.
• Work with developers and drive solutions.
• Participate in relevant meetings and discussions and provide status reports.
• Ask good questions.
