Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a Senior Telecommunications Engineer to plan, design, and support wireless data SCADA networks across Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire. You will collaborate with senior staff to select data communications technologies and ensure reliable operation of electric utility SCADA systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related discipline.
• At least five (5) years of experience designing, implementing and supporting wireless SCADA data telecommunications systems.
• Experience with wireless SCADA data telecommunications infrastructure within a utility setting; DNP 3.0 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and perform engineering assignments for wireless data telecommunication systems.
• Design, implement and operate wireless SCADA data telecommunication systems to support Electric operations.
• Support field construction and maintenance of wireless SCADA assets including digital microwave, mobile and fixed wireless networks.
• Perform data analysis of wireless SCADA data and troubleshoot to enhance data applications.
• Configure SCADA equipment and interfaces to field RTU devices; ensure compliance with IEEE/IEC/NERC standards.
