Job summary

Industrial Scientific in Pittsburgh is seeking an Electrical Engineer, Wireless/RF/EMC to lead electrical system strategies for new product development. You will steer RF, EMC, and wireless design, collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams, and ensure certification readiness from concept through production.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in electrical hardware, strong PCB and test-equipment skills, and a track record of delivering reliable, compliant wireless products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience developing electrical hardware products.
• Demonstrated experience with wireless, RF, mixed-signal, or EMC-sensitive systems.
• Experience defining requirements, verification approaches, and technical documentation.
• Experience with PCB design, electrical architecture, and system integration.

Responsibilities

• Define and decompose system, electrical, wireless, and regulatory requirements into architectures and solutions.
• Lead design, integration, verification, and release of wireless, RF, mixed-signal, and battery-powered electrical systems.
• Serve as technical lead on cross-functional projects across multiple engineering teams.
• Identify and mitigate RF, EMC/EMI, SI, PI, and wireless coexistence risks.
• Develop and review documentation, verification evidence, and design review materials.
• Drive root-cause analysis to resolve complex technical issues affecting product readiness.
• Establish and improve engineering standards and reusable design practices; mentor others.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and certification bodies to support delivery and improvement.
