Job summary

Industrial Scientific in Pittsburgh seeks a Staff Electrical Engineer, Wireless/RF/EMC to lead electrical and wireless outcomes for new product development and platform initiatives. You will drive architecture, verification, and certification readiness for wireless and mixed-signal systems.

The role translates business needs into technical strategies, aligns cross-functional teams, and guides projects from concept through production release, mentoring engineers and developing reusable design

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
10+ years of experience developing electrical hardware products.
Experience with wireless, RF, mixed-signal, or EMC-sensitive systems.
Ability to define requirements, verification approaches, and documentation.
Experience with PCB design, electrical architecture, component selection, and system integration.

Responsibilities

Define and decompose system, electrical, wireless, and regulatory requirements into robust architectures and solutions.
Lead the design, integration, verification, and release of wireless, RF, mixed-signal, and battery-powered systems.
Serve as a technical lead on cross-functional projects, aligning interfaces and risks across teams.
Identify and mitigate RF performance, wireless coexistence, EMC/EMI, SI, PI, and regulatory issues.
Develop and review documentation, evidence, and design reviews for maturity and production release.
Drive root cause analysis and resolution of complex technical issues affecting performance, quality, and certification.
