Blue Origin is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to design and implement MAC control-plane software for the TeraWave network, enabling scalable, high-throughput, low-latency satellite communications. You will collaborate with PHY, modem, and networking teams to deliver robust control mechanisms and QoS enforcement.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in wireless networking or embedded systems, strong C/C++ skills, and hands-on experience with hardware integration and performance analysis.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience in wireless networking or high-performance systems.
• Advanced proficiency in C or C++ with timing-sensitive software in Linux/RTOS.
• Experience designing or implementing wireless MAC protocols, QoS, or schedulers.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement MAC control-plane software for satellite links.
• Develop TDMA/DAMA/resource-allocation algorithms for multiple beams and terminals.
• Lead architecture and prototype development through hardware integration and deployment.
