Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking an Assembly Technician in Dallas, TX for a temp-to-hire role. The position requires reading detailed drawings, soldering wires and cables, and precise mechanical assembly with hand and power tools.

The candidate should have a high school diploma, 5 years of electro-mechanical assembly experience, and soldering capability; J-STD 001/IPC 620 certifications are preferred. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School diploma/GED required.
• 5 years electro-mechanical assembly experience in manufacturing with detailed drawings and work instructions.
• Must have prior hand soldering experience; wire/cable soldering highly preferred.
• Current or prior J-STD 001 and IPC 620 certification preferred.
• Willing to receive and provide cross training in all assemblies.
• Overtime availability Monday through Saturday when required.
• U.S. Person status for ITAR access.

Responsibilities

• Performs fine hand soldering using a soldering iron and magnifying glass.
• Follows detailed production drawings, samples and verbal instructions under supervision.
• Interprets and works from drawings, BOMs and work instructions to complete assemblies.
• Works on assembled components with hand tools and soldering equipment.
• Uses hand and power tools for skilled fitting and assembly work.
• Inspects parts for quality and conducts basic testing during assembly.
• Adjusts materials to meet specified electrical or dimensional specs.
• Follows safety procedures and PPE requirements.
