Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–5 years experience in comparable electro-mechanical assembly.
• Experience with cable assemblies, connectors, or electromechanical components preferred.
• Prior cell lead and training experience preferred.
• IPC/J Standard soldering training and certification highly preferred.
• Proficient soldering, including through-hole and surface mount.
• Experience using hand tools and some power tools.
• Understanding of mechanical hardware assembly and blueprints.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly; follow instructions.
• Lean manufacturing and 5S knowledge is a plus.
• U.S. citizenship or U.S. person required.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed preparation of cables, connectors, and components for first article and prototype builds.
• Ensure materials meet cleanliness, dimensional, and surface prep specs prior to assembly.
• Support first article builds by ensuring readiness of all prepared components and fixtures.
• Perform sanding, polishing, trimming, and deburring of components to spec.
• Inspect prepared components for consistency and compliance with drawings.
• Use approved solvents and chemicals to prepare components for assembly.
• Follow safety procedures when handling chemicals and operating tools.
• Prepare, clean, and stage fixtures, tooling, and workstations.
• Read and interpret production drawings, work instructions, and BOMs.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely.
• Perform in-process visual inspections and elevate defects as needed.
