Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, seeks a System Administrator to maintain Windows Server infrastructure supporting enterprise directory services in a regulated federal IT environment.

The role focuses on server hardening, patching, vulnerability remediation, monitoring, and automation using PowerShell, with collaboration across directory engineering, cybersecurity, and network teams to sustain authentication and directory-service availability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 4 years of experience administering Windows Server environments.
• Experience administering Windows Server 2016, 2019, and/or 2022.
• Experience administering Active Directory Domain Services.
• Experience administering DNS and DHCP services.
• Experience administering Windows file services.
• Ability to apply secure Windows Server, Active Directory, and DNS baselines; patching and remediation.
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills for inventory, reporting, and automation.
• Knowledge of enterprise network concepts and connectivity troubleshooting.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 environments and AD components.
• Manage Active Directory Domain Services, domain controllers, and GPO dependencies.
• Administer DNS services for enterprise operations and zone management.
• Administer DHCP services in distributed environments and dynamic updates.
• Administer Windows file services, permissions, and access control.
• Apply security baselines and document exceptions or residual risk.
• Plan and execute patching, vulnerability remediation, and maintenance activities.
• Monitor server availability and health using Windows tools and monitoring platforms.
• Develop PowerShell scripts for inventory, reporting, and health checks.
• Collaborate with directory engineers, cybersecurity, and network teams.
