Job summary

Huntress Labs is seeking a Principal Security Researcher - EDR (Windows) for a remote US role. You will lead research, develop cross-platform detection features, and collaborate with product, engineering, and security teams to deliver impactful capabilities.

Qualifications

• Expert in Windows OS internals, components, APIs, and design.
• Prior experience with Windows OS kernel coding and device drivers.
• Experience testing EDRs, bypasses, and evasion techniques.

Responsibilities

• Identify innovative ways to detect Windows OS threats.
• Develop cross-platform features leveraging telemetry from OS subsystems.
• Research sensor capabilities for visibility and detection across Windows versions.
• Collaborate with engineering/detection teams to implement detection logic.
• Identify and evaluate new telemetry opportunities.
• Respond to product escalations.
• Lead product research initiatives and technologies.
• Coordinate with Product/Engineering to operationalize threats research outputs.
