Job summary

CDW is seeking a Senior Windows Engineer for Managed Services in the United States. You will manage Windows Server environments across multiple customers, provide senior-level support, and act as an escalation point for complex issues.

You will monitor services, troubleshoot break-fix incidents, and collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, security, and service delivery teams. On-call rotation and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; 7+ years of infra engineering experience.
• 7+ years managing Windows Server in enterprise environments.
• Strong troubleshooting of Windows infrastructure incidents and complex operational issues.
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Windows security, certificates, and identity services.
• Experience creating PowerShell automation for ops, reporting, health checks, and remediation.
• Experience with Windows virtualization, clustering, patching, config management, monitoring, backup and recovery.
• Experience with ticketing systems, engineering queues, and meeting SLAs.
• Experience supporting services within Incident, Problem, Change Management.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage Windows engineering tickets through resolution with timely status updates.
• Monitor Windows services, respond to alerts, identify issues, and take corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex Windows break-fix issues.
• Serve as senior escalation point for advanced Windows troubleshooting.
• Administer Windows Server environments including on-prem, virtual, and cloud.
• Support Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related services.
• Use PowerShell to automate routine support and reporting.
• Assist with patching, upgrades, and change-management activities.
• Assess broader impact of incidents and changes across systems.
• Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams about risks and progress.
• Document troubleshooting steps and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a multi-technology Managed Services environment.
• Mentor other engineers and share best practices.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
