Job summary

Hollingsworth & Vose is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to own the Windows server estate across on‑prem, virtual, and cloud environments. You will design new systems, set engineering standards, and lead upgrades end to end to keep production healthy and aligned with business goals.

You’ll manage Active Directory, Entra ID MFA, Azure/M365 services, and security posture across sites, with automation and integration at the core of daily work.

Qualifications

• US citizen or Green Card holder.
• 8+ years of systems engineering experience across on‑premises and cloud environments.
• Experience designing systems from requirements through build and production ownership.
• Senior technical engineer who sets standards, mentors others, and leads on infrastructure initiatives.
• Strong working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, Azure/Microsoft 365, and Exchange.
• Hands‑on with Entra ID Conditional Access and MFA at scale.
• Backup and recovery experience across on‑premises and cloud workloads.
• Strong automation and integration skills (PowerShell, Python, APIs).
• Familiarity with AI tools and responsible experimentation in IT.
• Willingness to travel to other H&V sites and participate in on‑call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Own server architecture and engineering across on‑premises, virtual, and cloud environments.
• Design, install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows servers; lead upgrades end to end.
• Manage Active Directory hygiene, domain services, replication, DNS, and group policy.
• Configure and troubleshoot Azure and Microsoft 365 services; manage mail flow and security with Exchange Online/Proofpoint.
• Design and operate Entra ID MFA, Conditional Access, PAM, and hybrid identity solutions.
• Operate and modernize on‑prem virtualization, DFS, and file services; guide path to hybrid or cloud options.
• Own backup and recovery planning, testing restores, and RPO/RTO targets.
• Automate at the systems level; integrate platforms via APIs and event‑driven patterns.
