Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced Windchill Java Developer for a fully remote role in the United States. The position focuses on deep Windchill customizations using Java, PTC APIs, and customization frameworks to extend platform behavior while maintaining upgrade-friendly layers.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of Java development experience, strong Windchill domain knowledge, and a disciplined, performance-aware engineering approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of Java development experience with Windchill customization.
• Deep experience with the Windchill Java API and customization frameworks.
• Strong understanding of Windchill data model, lifecycle, and workflow internals.
• Strong Java OO design and performance-engineering skills.
• Experience with JSP, HTML, and Windchill client-side customization.
• Hands-on experience with TAM.
• Strong SQL skills and familiarity with Oracle or SQL Server.
• Experience supporting Windchill upgrades.
• Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop Windchill customizations close to the platform using Java, APIs, and customization frameworks.
• Extend behavior through services, listeners, and processors while keeping a clean, upgrade-friendly layer.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to translate ambiguous requirements into robust solutions.
• Lead code reviews, design reviews, and mentor junior engineers.
• Deliver meaningful, production-grade work and maintain high engineering discipline.
