Job summary

MasTec, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician III in Irving, TX to lead major component exchanges and advanced diagnostics on wind turbines.

You will supervise crews on-site, ensure safety, and deliver high-quality service. You must have 5+ years of hands-on wind turbine experience, hold a high school diploma with technical certifications preferred, and be able to travel to different job sites with limited notice.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; advanced technical certifications or degree in renewable energy or wind turbine technology preferred
• 5+ years of hands-on wind turbine maintenance, repairs, and component exchange
• Must be able to pass the company's driver eligibility requirements

Responsibilities

• Lead major component exchanges for gearboxes, generators, and other components.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics on wind turbines.
• Ensure safety protocols and provide on-site leadership.
• Supervise and train junior technicians.
• Review service work for efficiency and precision.
• Prepare detailed service reports on turbine health and parts performance.
• Coordinate with project managers to meet schedules.
• Other duties as assigned
